چکیده

Considering agricultural landscapes as networks can provide information about spatial connectivity relevant for a wide range of applications including pollination, pest management, and ecology. Global agricultural networks are well-described by power law rank-size distributions. However, regional analyses capture only a subset of the total global network. Most analyses are regional. In this paper, we seek to address the following questions: Does the globally observed scale-free property of agricultural networks hold over smaller spatial domains? Can similar properties be observed at kilometer to meter scales? We analyze 9 intensively cultivated Landsat scenes on 5 continents with a wide range of vegetation distributions. We find that networks of vegetation fraction within the domain of each of these Landsat scenes exhibit substantial variability – but still possess similar scaling properties to the global distribution of agriculture. We also find similar results using a 39 km IKONOS image. To illustrate an

Factors affecting scale formation in water distribution networks of Semnan city and preventive measures

Background and Objective: Corrosion and precipitation are important indicators of water quality assessment. The aim of this study was to analyze water stability water in Semnan distribution networks. Materials and Methods: To achieve the purpose, samples were taken from 5 points (3 points of storage tanks and 2 distribution network points) and analyzed for physical-chemical analysis. The conce...

A new 2D block ordering system for wavelet-based multi-resolution up-scaling

A complete and accurate analysis of the complex spatial structure of heterogeneous hydrocarbon reservoirs requires detailed geological models, i.e. fine resolution models. Due to the high computational cost of simulating such models, single resolution up-scaling techniques are commonly used to reduce the volume of the simulated models at the expense of losing the precision. Several multi-scale ...

تغییرات مکانی و پهنهبندی توان رسوبگذاری و خورندگی و عوامل مؤثر بر آن درآبزیرزمینی شهرکرد

Shahrekord groundwater is the main source of water for drinking, and the agricultural and industrial activities of its inhabitants. Water quality measures of scaling and corrosion can deteriorate steel-based systems used for storage or supplying water for drinking and to industry and irrigation. The main aim of this study was to assess the spatial variability and mapping of scaling and corro...

Assessment of Spatial Structure of Groundwater Quality Variables Based on the Geostatistical Simulation

Our main objective in the present study was to assess the spatial variation of chemical and physical water properties. Prior to the design of groundwater quality monitoring networks, it is essential to investigate the spatial structure of the groundwater quality variables. A case study is presented which used ground water quality observations from groundwater domestic wells in the Dameghan, Ira...
